Zach serves as the Operations Manager, overseeing accounting, estimating, permitting, and sales. He started the company with a clear purpose: to deliver a high-quality product, executed with attention to detail, and priced fairly.
Zach brings a hands-on, detail-driven approach to leadership, ensuring both operational excellence and strong client relationships across every project. His commitment to quality and integrity is foundational to Obsidian Construction’s reputation and continued growth.
Outside of work, Zach enjoys hunting, coaching football, working out, skiing, and golfing, interests that reflect his competitive spirit, discipline, and passion for teamwork.
Frank is the owner of Obsidian Construction, bringing nearly a decade of real estate and investment experience to every project. His background in property valuation and renovation strategy gives clients a unique advantage — every remodel, exterior upgrade, or build is approached with long-term value in mind.
With hands-on experience in residential construction, exterior systems, and investment renovations, Frank understands both the craftsmanship behind the work and the financial impact of doing it right. A 2015 graduate of Grand Valley State University, he also coaches high school football and remains deeply committed to his faith, family, and the West Michigan community he serves.
With more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Jacob brings extensive knowledge spanning excavation and site work to residential and commercial project management.
As a co-owner of Obsidian Construction, Jacob plays an integral role in the company’s day-to-day operations, overseeing field production, managing subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. He has a particular passion for new construction and exterior projects, with a strong focus on framing, roofing, and siding throughout his career.
In addition to his operational responsibilities, Jacob serves as Obsidian Construction’s MI OSHA Safety Officer, demonstrating his commitment to maintaining safe job sites and upholding industry best practices.
